Word of Knowledge Leads a Man to Rededicate His Life to Jesus

“As we walked along the Vancouver waterfront, the Holy Spirit highlighted a man who was sitting near the water with his wife and child. I could feel the compassion of Jesus strongly for him, so I asked the Holy Spirit what He wanted to say. He showed me the man was passionate about creating music and that he had recently been anxious about some family situation in his life. So I approached him and after introducing myself, I asked if he was passionate about music. He said yes, and then I asked if he had been anxious about a family situation recently. He told me he had moved from Costa Rica two years ago to Vancouver, Washington, and missed his family greatly. As he shared this, the Holy Spirit showed me he had a brother that he had a special relationship with. When I asked him, he said it was true that he had two brothers, but was closer to one of them. I said God knew him perfectly, loved him, and wanted to give him peace. I shared the Gospel with him, and he told me he had grown up catholic, but recently felt like he wasn’t doing enough to have a relationship with God and needed to start living right again. I explained how Jesus gives us the power to live right from the inside out when we surrender our hearts to him and not try to do good things to reach him. I said, “If Jesus was knocking on the door of your heart right now, would you let him in?” “Yes, of course,” he said. I prayed for him and he felt the presence of God as a heat in his chest. I told him that was Jesus drawing him back home. He made the decision to surrender his life afresh right there, and after we prayed, he felt a weight lift off him and peace fill him. I encouraged him how much Jesus loved him and he thanked me several times. The Father was pursuing him that day!”
